At Flexspeak, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, safe, and respectful environment for all users. To ensure a positive experience for everyone, all users must comply with this Acceptable Use Policy.

Flexspeak reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether content or usage violates this Policy. We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect our commitment to maintaining a responsible and supportive communication platform.

1. Anti-Discrimination & Inclusive Communication

Flexspeak does not support and will not tolerate the use of our platform for discrimination against others, particularly based on disability, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, ancestry, or national origin.

Users may not use Flexspeak to incite, promote, or support discrimination, hostility, or violence against any individual or group. If we determine that your use of the platform violates this Policy, we may permanently or temporarily suspend your access without prior notice or liability.

2. General Use Guidelines

You agree not to upload content, create messages, or use Flexspeak in any way that:

  • Promotes or creates a risk of physical or emotional harm, distress, or exploitation of any individual, including children and vulnerable individuals.

  • Encourages or incites violence, self-harm, or harm to others.

  • Is harassing, abusive, defamatory, racially or ethnically offensive, invasive of personal privacy, libelous, or threatening.

  • Discriminates against others based on disability, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, ancestry, or national origin.

  • Contains sexually explicit, pornographic, or inappropriate material.

  • Involves the sale or promotion of illegal or prohibited activities, products, or services.

  • Promotes fraudulent or deceptive activity.

  • Violates the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other legal rights of any individual or third party.

  • Contains false, deceptive, or misleading information, including misinformation or disinformation.

  • Violates any applicable law or regulation.

3. Safeguards for Users with Disabilities

Flexspeak recognizes that some users, particularly those with disabilities, may unintentionally create or share content that does not comply with this policy due to their communication differences, cognitive processing, or other related challenges. Our approach to policy enforcement considers these factors, and we prioritize education, guidance, and supportive interventions before taking any restrictive actions. When a potential violation occurs, Flexspeak may:

  • Notify the user, their caregiver, educator, or support staff about the issue.

  • Provide guidance on appropriate use of the platform.

  • Offer resources or alternative communication strategies.

  • Limit access to certain features as necessary while maintaining core communication access.

Flexspeak remains committed to accessibility and ensuring all users can communicate effectively while maintaining a safe and respectful environment for everyone.

4. Enforcement & Consequences

Flexspeak reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action against any violation of this Policy, including but not limited to:

  • Removing or restricting access to certain features.

  • Temporarily or permanently suspending user accounts.

  • Reporting violations to law enforcement when necessary.

We encourage users to report any misuse or violations to our support team to help us maintain a safe and inclusive platform.
