Flexspeak started with a simple observation: AAC wasn't built for the families who needed it most. For multilingual households, the tools meant to unlock communication often created new barriers — systems that didn't include the languages spoken at home, and workflows that took hours clinicians didn't have.
In 2023, a small team set out to change that. What began as a few lines of code has grown into a mission-driven effort alongside the global AAC community to make communication access the default, not the exception. Today, Flexspeak supports non-speaking individuals and their families 25+ languages
— and we're just getting started.
